The METROPOLENHAUS Markgrafenstraße 84 in Berlin is being constructed from 2007 to 2009 against the background of a study that is taking place since 2005. The project is committed to urban living in a metropolis. Due to its architectonic flexibility, it combines living, work and family dwelling, allowing individual living solutions that reflect individual life-styles. Except for two small compact apartments, it is the fundamental feature of the METROPOLENHAUS’ residential units to offer a combined spacious living and working loft, which in its two-storey ground plan is extendable to a multi-use maisonette.
